Friday, October 28th: Halloween Parade/Minimum Day . All students will follow the minimum day schedule. Parade will start at approximately 8:35 am.
Monday, October 31st : No School
Tuesday, November 1st: No School - Teacher Work Day
Vintage Hills School Site Council

Health Office Information
All First Grade students must have a required health examination by November 7, 2022.
The California Health and Safety Code (124105) requires that every child entering the First Grade in a CA school have a health check-up. A certificate, signed by a licensed healthcare provider, must be presented to the school to verify that your child has received the health check-up. Exams may be dated back to 6 months before they began Kindergarten through Nov. 7th, 2022.

RECESS Alternatives
Is your student looking for alternatives to the traditional recess activities? We've got options!
Mrs. Nigam, our science teacher, has been offering alternative activities at lunchtime recesses. Students in first through 5th grade have been building in the science lab. Ask your students if they have gone to STEM recess in the lab. Up next will be critical thinking activities in the form of puzzles and games. If they haven't yet, encourage them to give it a try. Here is the current schedule:
Mondays: 1st grade during lunch recess
Wednesdays: 1st - 5th during their lunch recess
Thursdays: 1st - 5th during their lunch recess
Ms. Hengst, our librarian, opens the library for students during lunch recess. Students who want a quiet location to read or to exchange books can visit the library. Here is the current schedule:

5TH grade state fair day
For the first time, our 5th Graders put on an educational and interactive event this past week. Students researched and became experts on various aspects of the 50 states culture and interesting facts. It was a fun day !
