1st Grade Reminder 

Just a reminder that beginning on Monday, March 4th, all 1st-grade students will attend school from 8:20 am - 2:55 M/T/Th/Friday and Wednesday from 9:20 - 2:55.  

There will no longer be staggered start times for 1st Grade.

School Smarts Parent Academy

Vintage Hills PTA in conjunction with PUSD is offering a specially designed School Smarts program to help you and your student(s) be successful.


This FREE program will occur on the following Tuesday evenings: 2/6, 3/5, 4/16 & 5/7 from 6-7:30pm. FREE childcare and dinner is provided for all in-person seminars. School Smarts is a great way to meet leaders in our academic community as well other parents. An online version will also be available from 6:30-7:30pm.

Mariachi Program Openings - 

    Registration open until 2/16

The PUSD Mariachi program has limited room to add students in grades 3-12 into the program in all instruments (Trumpet, Violin, Guitar/Vihuela, and Guitarron).  The Mariachi program uses a holistic and culturally relevant approach to support our targeted students and their families. Our whole child approach is meant to fully support students by creating pathways of opportunity to the many programs already offered in our school district and further bridge achievement and enrichment gaps.


Students and their families in Mariachi in addition to instrument and vocal lessons have access to:


The program is housed at Hearst Elementary and runs on Thursdays in 2 sessions: 5:30 - 7:00pm and 7:00 - 8:30pm.

District Family Network Meeting for South and East Asian Families

We are excited to announce the kick-off date of our first District Family Network Meeting for South and East Asian Families. Our first meeting will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2024, 3:30PM-4:30PM at the Mohr Elementary School Library. This meeting and future meetings will be hybrid to allow families the option to participate either online or in person. Given the format and logistics of our ongoing hybrid meetings, child care will not be provided. To register for this event, please click on the following link below to RSVP. District Family Network Meeting for Spanish Speaking Families

We are excited to announce the 2nd District Family Network Meeting for Spanish Speaking Families. Our second meeting will take place on Thursday, February 29, 2024, 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Valley View Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room. This meeting will provide parents and family members the opportunity to participate in the PUSD Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) Listening Campaign. We will also work together to finalize our vision as a District Family Network for Spanish Speaking Families. Light refreshments will be provided, along with fun raffles and prizes. Given the format and logistics of this meeting, child care will be provided. However, we are unable to accommodate infants at this time.
