Students will learn about the Christmas tradition of Iceland where people give their friends & family gifts of books on Christmas Eve.

AFTER the lesson above, Ms. Carroll's kindergarten class should do the gift activity I have left.  On the left side, they should draw/write what gifts they would like to give someone.  On the right side, they should draw/write what gifts they would like to receive.  Students may take their completed (or partially completed, if they run out of time) paper with them when they leave the library.

If students finish early, you may show some/any of the videos below.  You may also give brain breaks as needed with the directed movement activities.
