What will I need do to prepare for the NAPLAN Online Examinations?
- Practice the Online Readiness tests to become familiar with the type and style of questions you'll get; you can access the practice (sample) test questions here
- Watch the NAPLAN Online User Guide for instructions prior to sitting the online tests. Take careful note of the instructions as they do not appear at the start of the Online Examination. Things to take note of include:
- how to flag a question so that you can come back to it
- where to access the flagged and other questions and manage your progress through the test
- how to access and use the calculator (numeracy calculator allowed examination)
- the location of the countdown clock
- what any error messages may mean
3. Make sure that your device (iPad) is
- fully charged
- an iPad Air 2 or an iPad Pro
- running the latest version of iOS (at least 10.3)
- running the NAP app which you have installed from the App. Catalogue (see below)
- if you are unsure, please see the IT Dept. for help
4. Make sure that you have ear phones or ear buds; you must bring these with you to each of the examinations
5. Bring a pencil or pen to use for planning; we'll provide paper for you to work on (where applicable)
