Lindsey Clinton is the Library Media Specialist at Adelaide Lee Elementary. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University and went on to earn her Masters in Library and Information Science in 2012 from the University of Oklahoma. She has worked as a classroom teacher for Stillwater Public Schools and was a librarian in Yukon Public Schools before joining Oklahoma City in 2018.
Lindsey’s favorite part about working in the library is building relationships with students and staff throughout the years. She loves bringing joy and excitement to literature as students laugh at a silly book or beg to turn the page to find out what may happen with a character. She has the pleasure of supporting our digital natives to be thoughtful consumers and users of information in a rapidly changing digital world.
Lindsey feels that one of the best parts of working in the library is getting books into the hands of kids as they learn and grow. So much can be gained in the pages of a book whether it is an escape from reality, learning something new, or finding a relatable character going through similar trials of life. Reading is a dynamic adventure that opens so many opportunities and she finds it a true pleasure to have a small part in sharing this excitement with young learners in OKCPS.
