Julianne Anthony grew up in Oklahoma City, where she attended Putnam City Schools before pursuing her higher education at the University of Central Oklahoma. During her college years, Julianne was actively involved in the Urban Teacher Prep Academy, laying the foundation for her passion for teaching and community engagement.
After graduating, Julianne began her teaching career at Wheeler Elementary, where she spent two years nurturing young minds in 2nd grade. With the implementation of Pathway to Greatness, she eagerly embraced the challenge of teaching 5th-grade math at Wheeler Middle School.Â
Beyond traditional instruction, Julianne assumes the roles of mentor, guide, and advocate for her students' potentials. Within her classroom, she fosters an environment of growth, celebrating academic achievements while cultivating strong bonds in the pursuit of knowledge. As the math department chair, Julianne is deeply committed to driving innovation and modernization in teaching practices, collaborating with colleagues to integrate technology and tailor lesson plans to diverse learning styles.
In addition to her teaching duties, Julianne has served as a Girls on the Run coach and a cross country coach at Wheeler, further demonstrating her dedication to fostering holistic development in her students.
