Alicia Hunt

Teaching is my passion! Building relationships with students is a complete joy and highlight of my life. Each hug, each heartfelt drawing, each parent that reaches out to say I have made a difference deeply impact and renew my purpose to create and maintain lasting, authentic relationships with my students. My classroom community is a family, and I believe this idea follows them outside of our room and into our surrounding community.

I am invested in Oklahoma City and working in OKCPS was never a question to be considered. I knew early on that my heart was in inner city schools. My dream was to be a trusted and caring adult in the lives of our kids. My goal is to be a lifelong learner, and to model flexibility, resiliency, and hope for the future to my classroom and also within my sphere of influence. I do not underestimate all the small moments that pass throughout our days... they all add up to a narrative that ignites a love of learning and serving the needs of those around us.
