Hello there. How's it going? Oh, well that is just wonderful to hear. I am so glad!

Today we began, and ended, with sentence structure. It took WAY longer than I expected. Here is what we did:

• Students were asked to write four sentences about what the best part of their day was yesterday.

• Next, they were to go through their sentences, find all of the clauses, and underline the verbs and highlight the subjects.

I made my way around the room and checked each individual's work. While I was doing this, students were either continuing to edit their sentence structure assignments or reading their books from the library.
