10/24/22

Hello, friends! I hope that you had an amazing weekend. Mine was okay. I had an outstanding bike ride on Saturday, but everything else was fairly standard. The PANTHERS won, so I guess that was something different.

Anyway, to begin the day, students read for fifteen minutes.

Following that we practiced looking at clauses and sentence structure. Students were to read the following sentences, label the different clauses, and properly punctuate where the commas are supposed to go.

  • People are drawn to Fuzzy’s charm and charisma so they let him into their yards and homes before they realize what a monster he is.

  • No one is safe from this rabbit’s malice and even though he appears thoughtful and appreciative it’s all an act to gain trust.

  • Once he has gained people’s confidence he will convince them to pay for his lavish lifestyle but eventually he always goes for their arms.

To end, we turned to page 82 in the textbook. We read about the different ways to talk about photographs. Students looked at the different photos in the book by the famous photographer Arthur Tress and used their new lingo to describe them.

Also, I didn't have time to walk around the room and check out everyone's story, so please email me what you have. I am looking for two pages of fiction and an outline or three pages of fiction.
