BAME Student Research/Project Ambassadors - Paid part time job opportunities at the Student's Union. The ‘BAME Student Research Ambassadors’ will be gathering data and researching the barriers BAME students from the UK experience to their education, wellbeing, and mental health. The ‘BAME Student Project Ambassadors’ will be running events, projects, or campaigns to tackle specific barriers to education, wellbeing, or mental health of BAME students from the UK. Students must be currently enrolled at SHU and self-identify as BAME to be eligible to apply. Please feel free to pass this opportunity on to anyone that might be interested! The roles are currently being advertised on our website: Student Staff (hallamstudentsunion.com). If you have any questions about the role, or would like to direct student queries to us, please contact our Peer Support Coordinator Jasmine Shoker: j.shoker@shu.ac.uk
Absence reporting - If you are expecting to be absent from a session or are unable to attend at short notice please ensure you complete the absence reporting form. There is a link on both your Blackboard course organisational sites and module blackboard sites. You can arrange to swap with another student in another group but cannot join another group without this arrangement. This is due to room capacity and safety guidance and we are trying to ensure the same guidance is consistent across all modules and years. If you are an Elite sport athlete you are able to swap sessions. Please discuss with the module leader if you are not sure.
Grow+ will be launched early next week. I will email you when it is live, so please look out for my message.
