COVID rules in University - Please read the below message from a recent letter sent to all Universities providing Health courses from NHS Health Education England. The original letter can be found here. We appreciate your adherence to this guidance before coming onto campus you are required to take a lateral flow test. Please try to order your lateral flow test through the government website or local pharmacy in the first instance, if you are struggling to get hold of any Hallam Help have a small supply which you can use.
''We would like to ask HEIs and all Health Students, in line with current infection prevention and control guidance for health care settings, to please wear masks when using simulated clinical examinations and practical teaching sessions and ensure a recent lateral flow test has been undertaken prior to attending the session. Bringing learners together who regularly work in varied healthcare setting across the region could exacerbate the spread of Covid-19 therefore when doing these practical sessions we ask you to support us in keeping the workforce well and Covid-19 out of healthcare settings by adherence in line with the Healthcare setting guidance.''

Placement - Thanks for submitting all the placement feedback forms. However, very few students have complete the evaluations on PARE for APP1 (Yorks & Humber placements) Details below. The deadline is 17th December. Please remember it is your professional responsibility to provide feedback on placements , so we can ensure quality experiences for all. Failure to do this reflects badly on you and the SHU physio team (remember you may be applying for a job there next year)
Thank you for using PARE to evaluate your recent placement – you will need to self-assign to your placement area in order to do so.
There may be problems if you have not used your PARE account for a while and have forgotten to use the external format of your SHU email address (name.surname@student.shu.ac.uk).
You can reset your password quickly once you have got to that stage.
More details on the APP BB site under Learning Materials
PCR / Self-Isolation
You should be continuing to take Lateral Flow tests prior to attending University face to face sessions. The SHU guidance can be found here. If you receive a positive test please follow the national guidance and book a PCR Test to confirm. If you need to self isolate, please remember to inform your academic advisor / Year Lead and click on 'report a case'. You do not need to inform the Course Leader about your absence.
