The Curriculum at Lordswood Boys' School

At Lordswood Boys’ School we are passionate about securing success and progression for all students and our balanced curriculum is key in delivering this aim.

Students will experience a curriculum that meets their needs, abilities and aspirations, whilst also preparing them for the opportunities and responsibilities of adult life.

At the beginning of Year 7 students  are placed into sets in English, Mathematics and Science based on their Key Stage 2 SATs results.

Lordswood Boys’ School believes that setting by ability is the fairest and most efficient way of grouping students.

We operate a flexible system regarding ‘setting’ and make termly reviews to ensure students are best placed to progress at the various key stages.
