School days are packed full of moments that matter and the Headteacher's Blog showcases the very best of our memorable moments each week.Β
Missing even 1 day of school or regularly arriving late each morning means that students are missing out on these important moments. Packing our curriculum with opportunities for curiosity, wonder, and connection enables students to achieve success in all areas of school life, feel like they belong and are a part of our school community, and also receive wellbeing and pastoral support to thrive.

Our Year 11 Parentsβ Evening on Thursday, 15th January, 15:30 to 18:30 offers a valuable opportunity to meet subject teachers, review progress from Novemberβs Mock Exams, discuss strengths and areas for development, and receive advice on revision and next steps.
Parental engagement at this event helps motivate students and reinforces high expectations around effort, attendance, and behaviour at this critical time. Letters with further details and reply slips have been sent homeβplease return slips by Tuesday, 13th January.
Year 11 can be a demanding year for students, and working together at this stage can make a significant difference to outcomes. We strongly encourage all parents and carers to attend and take advantage of this important opportunity and look forward to meeting you.
π Year 11 Leadership Team Leading the Way

Warwickshire Cricket Tournament
Before Christmas, Warwickshire Cricket organised an Inter-House Cricket Tournament at Lordswood Boys' School. 30 students participated in small sided-games across three hours as they competed for the trophy. The Warwickshire Coaches were really impressed with the standard of play and the competitiveness of the students. The event demonstrates the fantastic links that we have developed and the oppportunites the students are able to access. Year 10 Cricket Captain Manraaj Benning took part in an exclusive interview which will be released next week. the Warwickshire press officer was also present at the event and took some great action shots.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Our trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers is schedule to take place on Friday the 30th of January. The boys are really excited as they prepare to take part in a training session at the first team ground, delivered by an academy coach. Students will then travel to the stadium where they will receive a tour of all of the facilities as well as the history of the club. Due to the popularity of the trip we are set to run a further visit before Easter as it is a great opportunity for students to gain an insight into the life of a professional footballer.
