The Library

"The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library." - Albert Einstein

Based on the ground floor of the school, the LBS library holds a collection of over 2,000 books and counting.

The library has been curated to complement the curriculum and to foster a love of reading across all our students, regardless of reading age or tastes.

We have a large selection of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plays and graphic novels. There is something for everyone in the library. Alongside a spacious ICT suite we have eight separate library computers that can be used for independent research, revision and homework.

Need help deciding what to read? Ask one of our three librarians who will be happy to assist. You can also email the library team at library@lordswoodboys.co.uk

Our fiction books are organised by Reading Age so students can easily find a book to suit or challenge their abilities:

Students can login to the library's reading cloud to browse the entire book collection from school or home as well as reserving and renewing existing books.

Are we missing a brilliant book? Request it to be added to our growing collection, either online or in the library suggestions box.

The rest of our library collection is organised by Category, so you can easily find the ideal play, graphic novel, poem or non-fiction book to read.
