A round up of everything that's been happening in the SEN Department since December
SEN Coffee Mornings
Thank you to those parents who attended our college coffee mornings. It was lovely to meet with you all. Due to their success we will be holding them again in Module 1.
North Kent College Trip
In Module 1, our Year 11 EHCP students visited North Kent College in Dartford. It was interesting to see what courses North Kent had to offer for our young people and it was also lovely to see past students who had previously attended The Leigh Academy.
SEN Champions
Our SEN Champions are continuing to meet regularly and offer advice to our SEN students. Next term the team will be planning information for our new incoming Year 7 students for September 2024.
SRP HI
Our SRP HI students are continuing to support our school community through teaching BSL to our Year 7 cohort. This has been a great success and this will continue into the next module.
Staffing Updates
We welcomed Miss Vosper into our SEN department in Module 1 and we also welcomed back Mrs Holman.
Have a lovely Easter Break, and we look forward to seeing you all on the 15th April.
