The top 15 points scorers in each year will receive invites to go to either
Thorpe Park or Southend Island of Adventure.
Year 10
Year 10 are now preparing for the important move into Year 11 and they are knuckling down to ensure that they have every chance of examination success next year.
In addition to this Year 10 are finalising their very important end of year Work Experience placements.
Well done to those that have their placements organised for July.
Guidance and help to secure placements is still available from Mr Bradley and Mr Hardaker.
Year 11
We are now nearing the end of five years at The Leigh Academy for our Year 11 students. A lot has happened in those five years since the first time that they crossed our threshold in 2019. The final parents' evening of the year is complete and we encourage every student to study during the Easter Break to the best of their ability.
It's been encouraging to see lots of our Curie College students taking up the opportunity to attend extra revision and coursework sessions and we anticipate this continuing over the Easter break. In addition to this we have recieved an Anti- Stress workshop from the NHS.
Good luck to all our Year 11 students in the Summer Exams.
Remember - The more work you do before will make the exam experience a little easier.
Tutor Time and PSHE
Finally, all our students have covered a variety of topics in tutor time and through their weekly assembly during Modules 3 and 4.
These topics have included activities regarding-
