Choir
The Leigh Academy choir which is open to all years had its second performance recently when it performed in the chinese new year assembly to year 7 pupils. Pupils in the choir worked very hard in the build up to this performance coming together every Tuesday after school from 15:15 - 16:15 in LE1.16 to work on this performance. The choir sung 'Gongxi Gongxi' in which the lyrics are sung in chinese. Pupils were very excited about singing in a different language and embraced the challenge exceptionally. A massive well done to Sudiksha, Madison, Mani, Hayden , Joy, Halina, Skyla, Lily, Andreia and Deborah.
If any pupil wishes to attend choir they are more then welcome to do so and fellow choir members would love to welcome new members and see new faces. Choir is every Tuesday from 15:15 - 16:15 with Mr. Harrison in LE1.16. There is absolutely no requirement for any prior experience in singing and there are no auditions, everyone is welcome!

The Leigh Academy Music Department is very excited to announce that instrument lessons are back on offer! We have made sure that we have sourced a reputable provider to make sure that pupils are getting the teaching and support they deserve. That is why we have chosen 'Rad Music' to be the provider for our instrument lessons for pupils. Tutors from Rad Music are fully experienced and fully vetted to make sure that they are suitable to teach in our school. There are a wide range of instruments on offer for pupils such as the piano, guitar (acoustic/bass/electric) drums and vocals etc. If there is an instrument not listed Rad Music are very happy to hear from you in which they would try their best to accommodate. I am very happy and excited for what the future holds with our pupils and Rad Music.
