My name is Michele Luera-Ramos. I am excited to be teaching Special Education- Math. I know you will leave our classroom with the confidence and problem solving skills necessary to maneuver this ever changing world we live in.

I am originally from a small town about 2 ½ hours north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania called St. Marys, PA. I moved to Lubbock when I was 20 and never looked back.
Although this will be my first year to teach at LCMS, I have been a teacher for the last 25 years at Lubbock ISD. I have primarily been a math elementary teacher. The last nine years I have been a special education teacher for LISD. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Studies at Texas Tech University, and my master’s in education/administration from Lubbock Christian University.
I have a husband named Albert. I also have a son named Alex. Alex will be graduating from Texas Tech University in December.

You will need a composition notebook, 1 box of colored pencils, 1 box of highlighters, red pens, pencils, 4 glue sticks, 1 box of Expo Markers, 1 package of wide ruled notebook paper, 2 boxes of Kleenex, 2 containers of sanitizing wipes, and 2 bottles of hand sanitizer.

I graduated in 1996 from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I also had a specialization in Math. I then graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 2003 with a master’s of Education and Principal certification.
