Welcome!

My name is Shelly DeLay, and I am excited to be your teacher this year! I am looking forward to learning and growning with you! This will be my 4th year teaching Reading Intervention and READ 180/System 44 at LCMS. Over my 20 years of public school teaching, I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, and 4th - 8th grade students.

All About Me

I have an 8 year-old son named Blake who is in the 3rd grade. We have a sweet, chiweenie dog named Daisy who will be one in October. I love mexican food and chocolate! I enjoy watching LEGO Masters and playing Yahtzee. My favorite colors are purple and green.

My Education

I graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in History and English. I earned my masters degree from Grand Canyon University in Reading in January 2021. I was honored in 2018-2019 to be named LCMS Teacher of the Year.
