My name is Ryan Detwiler and I am excited to be your teacher this year! Originally from Indiana, I have a very diverse background. My wife and I have been married for 9 years and we have 4 children. Kason, my son, who is almost 6 years old, our two angels (Kalli Rynn and Baby K) and our newly addition, our 7-month old baby girl, Kelbi. This year, you will look forward to my class as we transition to an all-digital classroom. No more pencils, no more paper. We will use our technology to the fullest potential! I am looking forward to learning and growing with you!

This is my 2nd year as a Cooper Pirate but this will be my seventh year teaching. This year I will teach 6th Grade Social Studies and a Media Production class. I am extremely excited about our Media Production class because my background is in Broadcast Productions. We will have a lot of fun making videos and different projects! I will also be a boys' coach this year for all grade levels! I love being a Cooper Pirate and excited to grow with you all!

I graduated from Anderson University (Anderson, IN) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. (Specialized in Broadcast Productions) I also went back and got my alternative teaching certification at Region 4 (Houston, TX). I am fully certified to teach any subject from Early Childhood up to 6th grade.

Food: Food is my guilty pleasure. I love me some Chipotle! :)
Book: I'm not a big book worm but I love Gary Paulsen books.
Season: If West Texas had a fall it would be that. I love sweatshirt and jeans weather.
Animal: I love puppies!
Hobby: I love all things sports! Football is my favorite! (Go Colts!)
