My name is Austin Ammons and I am excited to be your teacher this year! I am looking forward to learning and growing with you! I am go glad to be able to teach and be back in the classroom for a full year. I love spending time with students and getting to impact their lives as much as each one impacts me. I am looking forward to approaching this year with a renewed look at the future of education and students. Please bring your best attitude and a willingness to be flexible as we all learn and adapt through this pandemic.
I have been teaching at LCMS for 6 years. This will be my 6 year teaching. This year I will teach 7th grade Math. I have been married for 6 years as well to my beautiful bride Katlyn and we are had our first child in September. She is a beautiful baby girl named Karsyn Laine.
I have my Master in Educational Leadership and I am looking to expand my career into Administration within the Cooper district as the opportunities arise. I am a huge college basketball fan. My hobbies consist of watching movies with my family and playing golf.

I graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (fancy name for education) and Math. I also completed my Masters from LCU in 2018 for Educational Leadership. While in college I participated in the Honors program as well as the Golf team.
