Our theme for our Jubilee celebrations was the Commonwealth. Each year group chose a different country and the children learned a song, dance (or both!) to perform to our parents as they had a Jubilee picnic on the field. It was a multisensory experience all week with children learning about their given country through art, cooking, dancing and writing.
Following our year group performances, we then came together as a school and performed a French song about the countries of the world and our grand finale was our booming rendition of God Save the Queen, all under our bunting covered playground. The children dressed in either red, white and blue or of the colours of the country - so it was a feast for all the senses!
