All of our fantastic learners took part in a special Platinum Jubilee Inquiry. This all came together for the grand finale on Friday where all classes presented their Great Langley Park Pudding to be sampled by Miss Brading and Mrs McRobb. Two winners were chosen, Apollo Class (EYFS) and Kanzi Class (Year 6) with a Biscoff Cheesecake Corgi and Chocolate Fudge Cake.
We all took part in a special Jubilee Celebration Assembly where the whole school community came together to sing ‘Sing’ by Gary Barlow and ‘Celebration’ by Kool and the Gang’. Our makaton signs were absolutely fantastic!
We then held our EYFS/KS1 and then our KS2 Great Langley Park Picnic where classes took it in turns to perform to each other and then play traditional British Sports together. We had songs and dances from the 1440s (with our Year 1s performing Morris Dancing) right through to the present day performed by our children! After this, the children shared the puddings they had made together. We all wore red, white and blue- even our dog mentor Willow joined in with the celebrations!
