To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, we began with a Royal Tour of Molehill, with pupils undertaking a google quiz to find our Queen in various locations across the Academy. We were very grateful to also welcome our local police, who also popped in for lunch and a photo opportunity with her majesty. Our celebration assembly on Wednesday was highly informative and pupils learned a range of interesting facts about the Queen's impressive reign.
On Friday, we took part in a variety of activities during the day both in classes and key stages, including finding out about the monarchy, the Coronation and the life and reign of our Queen and her family. We had fun crafting flags, bunting and crowns.
The entire school community then enjoyed a delightful picnic, accompanied by music across the seven decades. We then invited parents to join our celebration and they listened to pupils singing a beautiful rendition of the Jubilee song - 'Here's to the Queen' before heading inside to share and celebrate work completed this term in a special edition of Molehill's Fabulous Finish!
