Throughout the week, the children of Marden Primary Academy worked on two major art projects; the first being a portrait of the Queen as part of Marden Parish Council’s competition and the second being a ‘Britain Through the Decades’ collaborative project. Each class was given a decade and the challenge to represent what Britain was like in that decade through the medium of art. We are looking forward to having these on display in our academy!
The week ended with a spectacular jubilee picnic on the field for all of our families. It was very well attended and there were lots of quintessentially British foods shared, such as sausage rolls, Victoria sponges and even Eton mess! The sun was shining and it was a perfect way to end another busy term at Marden Primary Academy.
