Entry into the Sixth Form at King Henry VIII College is based on a combination of academic achievement and personal qualities. All applicants must have achieved a recommended minimum of 4 grade A's in their IGCSE, SPM, or equivalent qualifications. In addition, we will also consider a student's potential to thrive in the Sixth Form based on their character, commitment, and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
As part of the application process, students will be required to provide a personal statement that highlights their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and future goals. We may also request references from teachers, coaches, or other adults who can attest to the student's character and potential. Successful applicants will be invited to an interview with senior staff, during which they will have the opportunity to take baseline tests, discuss their aspirations, and ask any questions about the Sixth Form program. The admissions process is designed to identify students who have the academic ability, motivation, and personal qualities required to thrive in our rigorous and rewarding Sixth Form.
At least a grade B or above is required to study a particular subject.
