INTRODUCTION
Physical Education is taught over 3 lessons a week and involves a mixture of class-based theory lessons, and also practical engagement with sports and skills, as dictated by the choices each student makes. IGCSE Physical Education is a science-based subject, and requires a high level of commitment and competency.
The syllabus provides students with an opportunity to develop their individual skills and improve performance in a wide range of sports and physical activities. Students will study a range of different theoretical concepts and apply them to the effect they have on sport and sports performance.
For those students who are practically talented, enjoy sports and fitness and have a keen interest in learning about the science behind sports performance, the IGCSE in Physical Education is an excellent choice.
