🗒️Message from Christi Davis, Librarian
Hello, Families!
Thank you to all our Knights who added a pumpkin to our story book pumpkin patch! We had 130 pumpkins in our patch! I was impressed with everyone’s creativity and variety of characters represented. This is one of my favorite events of the year, and you all rocked it!
WINNERS:
K/1st Grade: Sky Jung, Conrad Oegaard, Rayani Ratnayake
2nd/3rd: Max Meredith, Addison Simon, and Jaxton Combs
4th/5th: Aleen Nazari, Luke Woodruff, Lilianna Pahnke
It was a very difficult decision, so thanks to our students and our special judges for helping to choose! Hope to see even more creative designs next year! Please make sure you pick up your pumpkin by Friday, November 3.
Our next projects will be focused on Veteran’s Day and Native American Heritage Month.
Please remind your students to be responsible and return their books on their library day.
Thanks so much for your continued support of the library! If you would like to volunteer to help organize books, please let me know! Happy Reading!
Mrs. Davis

If you need to visit the front office during this time, please park in the lot located on the cafeteria/bus drop-off side of the building The map below shows the area marked in green. In short, during these times, the carpool side will be exit-only.
For everyone's safety, please refrain from dropping your student off at the four-way stop on the carpool sidelines that you see marked in red on the map below. Instead, always use the designated carpool line.
To assist with traffic flow and clarity, parts of the carpool map will be color-coded. Items Needed- The Family Resource Center is in need of girls’ underwear and gently used pants in XS and S sizes. Label the items “FRC” and send them in.
Dental Clinic- Offered by NCES and School Smiles in November. If interested, follow this link to sign up (also sent this form in the beginning of the year packet). This exam will fulfill the JCPS requirement for a dental exam for all 5-6 year old students.
Hearing and Vision Screenings on 12/14 and 15- If you DO NOT want your student to participate, you must sign and return the notice of non-consent, coming home this week. (This doesn't count as the JCPS required vision exam for 5-6 year old students, but reach out to me for referrals to affordable eye doctors if you need one.)
Holiday Assistance- The FRC provides food baskets at Thanksgiving and for winter holidays we provide food baskets and/or gifts. Priority is given to our students on Free/Reduced lunch, but if there are special circumstances surrounding your request, please let me know. Please complete this form to apply.
