🗒️ Message from Ms. Libby, Mental Health Practitioner

KSA testing is quickly approaching, we know nerves and worries are present. Here are a few different strategies to help set your student up for success during testing.

1. Encourage positive self-talk. Teach them to replace negative thoughts with positive ones, “You don’t worry me! I know how to do this!”

2. Teach relaxation strategies. Deep breathing exercises, visualizing their happy place and counting to 10 are a great place to start. Practicing these strategies when your student is calm will help them learn before using them on test days.

3. Bolster Confidence. The bottom line is tests are nerve racking. Instead of focusing on the actual test, help your student find their inner strength in other ways. For example, increased free play and outdoor play is a confidence booster.

As always please reach out to Mr. Guttman or Ms. Libby if you have any questions or concerns!

💻 Kentucky Summative Assessment

The Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) will be administered May 6th-10th to 3rd-5th grade students. Please ensure your student arrives to school on time (school STARTS at 8:40am) well rested and ready to be focused!

🎨NCES Art Night

Families are invited to NCES to view the amazing artwork displayed throughout our school like an art museum!
