🗒️Message from Principal Terry

Greetings!

It's that time of year again, where the halls of Norton Commons echo with the sounds of eager footsteps and buzzing chatter. After months of anticipation, we are beyond thrilled to open our doors and welcome all of you back to another remarkable year of learning, growth, and exploration. I, alongside our passionate and dedicated staff, are filled with excitement and hope for the year ahead.

With school starting this Friday we want to make sure we have another successful first day of school...Second first day of school...you know what I mean.

We're proud to announce some tweaks to our already incredible initiatives: Our existing Acts of Valor spotlight will be paired with the Character Strong Program used across the district, giving our students regular instruction on each featured character trait. Each month, our school will shine a spotlight on a particular 'Act of Valor'.

In our monthly assemblies, we will introduce the 'Word of the Month', exploring its meaning, significance, and ways we can embody it in our daily lives. But here's the most exciting part – we want to celebrate STUDENTS! Throughout the month, students who go above and beyond, those who truly represent the 'Act of Valor Word of the Month' in their actions, will be recognized and celebrated for their contributions.

Thank you for being a part of our vibrant community. Here's to a year of extraordinary achievements, memorable moments, and acts of valor that make us proud to be a KNIGHT.

Warmly,

Andrew Terry

Principal, NCES

🎉 Celebrations 🎉

4th grade teacher, Mrs. Azevedo, organized the staff in collecting items for goodie bags for our NCES bus drivers. Our staff, with the help of their family and friends, prepared bags with gift cards, treats, and positive notes.  Thanks to our staff and their supporters for this fun way to show appreciation for our bus drivers! We can't wait to surprise them on Friday.
