4. Evaluation (Mascot)

First you will need a high quality photo of your completed mascot. This should be taken with a solid white background (the white photo box), unless your mascot is white.

Self Evaluation:

Here you should write the pros and cons of your design and process. You should also speak about what you learned during this mini-project. It would make sense to discuss the tools you used, such as Fusion, Slicer, Illustrator, etc. Also comment on the physical materials that you used. Discuss what you would do differently if making another mascot. Also discuss how you can take skills learned in this unit and apply them to our next project, which will be to make a Memphis-themed or Steampunk-themed object.

Feedback from Your Clients and Meeting of Their Specifications

Write a letter to your teacher about dropping off the mascot and chatting for feedback:

Hi Ms. Nickie (or Mr. Quinlan).

Voting for the mascots is now complete and I would like to bring you your Shiny Shark. Can we choose a time in which I can drop off the mascot and chat briefly with your kids for some feedback? It would probably only take about 10 minutes. Do either of these times work for me to stop by?

D block:

  • Fri, Feb 28, 7:30 to 8:40 am
  • Mon, March 2, 12:05 pm to 1:15 pm
  • Wed, March 4, 9:45 am to 10:55 am

H Block:

  • Fri, Feb 28, 1:20 - 2:30 pm
  • Tues, March 3, 10:15 am - 11:25 am
  • Thurs, March 5, 9 am - 10:10 am

Discuss the reaction of the your clients (ES students) to your mascot. Give some anecdotal responses. Discuss their overall feelings about the product. Where their expectations met? What did they like and dislike? How did your mascot do in the general voting?

This will be added in to your evaluation only after meeting with the kids and after voting. This small feedback section will not be assessed.
