Music is experiential. During music, we sing, dance, and play instruments to expand our learning in diverse ways.
Music is inclusive. It provides multicultural experiences that will enable students to accept and develop empathy for others.
Music is confidence building. Through performance, music helps to develop the confidence of our students’ public presentation skills.
Music is collaborative. Music provides a community experience that fosters creative collaboration between students as well as collaboration between content areas.
Kids in Lakeville experience music in kindergarten 2 times per week and in grades 1-5, one time per week.
