The Minnesota Partnership for Collaborative Curriculum (MPCC) is a grassroots initiative among Minnesota school districts to create a comprehensive collection of digital open education resources (OER). Over 200 districts have joined the inaugural phase of the project, with the goal to create digital course work for each of the four core subject areas – Math, Science, English Language Arts, and Social Studies – for grades 3-12. In the continuing phases, materials will be developed for additional grade levels and subject areas.
The MPCC courses are written by Minnesota teachers in collaboration with content experts and local educational organizations. Each course is reviewed by a panel of educators according an extensive rubric that assesses:
alignment to Minnesota standards
instructional design
technical implementation
copyright
Content is continually updated based on feedback from our users, especially during the pilot phase – a year-long period where member schools have exclusive access to test courses before they are published.
