OUR VALUES - Friendship - Honesty - Kindness - Respect - Trust
This week pupils have been learning about Sir Alexander Fleming and the discovery of penicillin. They have discussed how his discovery has impacted our society and specifically how antibiotics help the body fight infection. We also discussed why it is important to only take antibiotics when a medical professional has prescribed them and to take the exact amount prescribed. We will be further exploring the importance of using medicine correctly in health and wellbeing next week.
P5 have been summarising stories and using their descriptive words (adverbs and adjectives) to describe the lives of historical figures. They have been writing limericks and practicing their Scots poems as we finish off our poetry learning. In spelling they have been focusing on different ways to spell the ‘sh' sound, focusing on ‘ti’. We have also been practicing using speech marks correctly within stories.
Pupils have continued to learn and practice multiplication and division strategies as well as focusing on improving their 6 times table recall.
