¿Cómo te llamas?
In todays lesson we began learning how to ask and answer some simple questions "What is your name?" and "Where are you from?" Once we had practiced having these conversations with our partner, we had to then write down an answer to the question our partner asked.

In todays lesson, we started off by practicing our phonics and sounding our a range of spanish words. After this, we had to identify the right response to the questions we have been learning. Once we have identified the right answer to the questns we had to write a conversation using the questions and respond correctly.

This week we started of with practicing a new sound in our spanish phonics. We then had a converstaion recaing what we have been learning so far this term. After that, we had to create a conversation and write it in our book. We then had this conversation with our talking partner.

This week we started of as we do in every lesson, with practicing a new sound in our spanish phonics. We then began looking at spanish numbers. we practiced by singing a song and playing a guessing game. After these we had to complete our worksheet whihc had differnt amount of animals anf we had to put the correct number next to them. After this we had to try and write sentences using the numbers.

Las mascotas (pets)
Today we began our new topic “Pets”. We started, like all lessons, by looking at our phonetic sounds and identifying the different sounds in our new vocabulary. We then looked at different pets and practised saying what they are called, by repeating after the teacher. After this, we had to read the Spanish words and link them with the correct pets.

Tengo un ...
Today we did lots of reading, talking and listening. We had to listen to the sentences the teacher read out and identify the correct sentences on the sheet. We then had to repeate the sentences back to make sure that they were correct. After this, we had to find the words from the sheet that were missing from the sentence our talking partner said to us. Finally, we had to read the spanis sentences and then link them to the corrct sengtence in English.

Tengo un perro negro (use adjectives to describe pets)
Today we continued with learning about pets, however this time we were adding adjective into our sentences to make it clear when speaking about specific pets. To begin with, we had to recap our colours and how we use adjectives in sentences. To help with this, we played Bingo , call and respond as well as calling out answers linked to colours and pets. We then compared English and Spanish sentences to see how they are structured and identified similarities and differences.

Tengo un perro negro (use adjectives to describe pets)
Today we continued with learning about pets and use adjective to describe them, however this time we were doing it though lots of talking and listening. Our teacher would say the sentences and we would have to identity the pet and the adjective that was being used. To expand on this we would then have to look at the different sentences on our sheet and identify which sentence was correct. After this we had to listen to the sentence and identify the wrong or missing word from the sentence.

Module 4
El Tiempo
Today we began our new topic “weather”. We started, like all of our previous lessons, by looking at our phonetic sounds and identifying the different sounds in our new vocabulary. We then looked at different types of weather and practised saying what they are called, by repeating after the teacher. After this, we had to read the Spanish words and link them with the correct pictures of the weather.

Module 5
The body
In today’s lesson, we began, like all other lessons, by revisiting our Spanish phonics. We then started to listen and repeat the words for eight different body positions: head, shoulders , knees, toes, eyes, ears, mouth and nose. After this, we had to try and guess the body part, by touching, after Mrs had said the word. We then played the game of Simon Says and practised the song Heads, shoulders, knees and toes.

Labelling the body
In today’s lesson, we started by recapping our Spanish phonics of the letters j, h and and ll. After this, we practised our body parts that we learnt last week using our Heads, shoulders, knees and toes song. We then worked in pairs and had to say a body part and we had to say what it is. Finally we had to label the sheet using the correct words for the right body part.

Articles for the body
In today's lesson we started by recapping our phonic sounds, like we always do. We then learnt the different articles that go with the different body parts we learnt in week 1. These include el, la, las and los some new body parts for us to practise. We also learnt some new body parts and the correct articles that go with them.
