Module 1
What is colour in art?
In todays lesson we were understanding what colours represents, where colour is used (real life and artwork) and why specific artist use it at certain times. We had to discuss what our favour colour is and why we chose that colour. We then had to match different colours to different feelings.

Colour Theory
In todays lesson we were learning about Colour Theory. We had to use our primary colours and mix them to make secondary colours. After that, we then had to mix our secondary colours to make our Tertiary colours.

Module 2
Pop Art
In todays lesson, we explored colour through Pop art. We revisited our colour wheels and made sure that we were able to create Secondary and Tertiary colours. We then look at what Pop art is and some famous artist linked to it. We then started creating a Warhol inspired repeating pattern using tracing paper and our different colours.

In todays lesson, we started with a quick revsiting quick making sure that were able to remember what we had been learning. After this, we finished off our pop art picture. We had to make sure that we were using our sketching skills and making sure that we were being focused and open minded when trying to create our pop art.

Module 3
Collage introduction - experimenting with different techniques
In our first lesson of the module, we started learning about collages, what they are, how they are made and what can be used to make them. After this, we had to start creating a colourful collage using different materials from the room.

Collage - To build my understanding of collage
This lesson we continued to build our understanding of collages. We looked at a famous artist, Megan Coyle and reviewed her work. We then started to create our own collage of a flower. To do this we had different coloured paper and had to tear them up into different sizes. After this we then stuck them back down on some paper to create our own collage.

Collage - To complete collage
This lesson we created our college based on the work of Megan Coyle. we had to use different coloured paper to create a sun flower on a blue background. We used a range of different skills, cutting, tearing sticking and colour matching to make our artwork.

Collage - Parent Stay and Learn
For our Parent Stay and Learn we create different collages linked to our Central Idea and Lines of Inquiry. We had to use different items either metal and non-metal to create different pictures. We had to select different items and then place them on templates or pieces of paper and create different patterns or pictures. some children then linked it to our focus of magnets and began using different magnets to create their designs.

Module 4
Drawing - Experimenting with lines
In our first Art lesson of this nodule we began looking at a range of different pictures that are drawn with different lines. After this, we had to demonstrate what different lines can look like. Once we had finished showing each line we started drawing small pictures/experiemnting with different lines.

Drawing - Experimenting with value, tone and shading
During this art lesson, we looked at what shading is and why it is used. We then practiced our shading from dark to light. We then had to use our shading skills to shade shapes to show where we put shading on pictures. After this we started to draw fruit to apply our shading.

Module 5
Fabrics - Weaving
We started our first Art lesson of this module by recapping what we have previous learnt last term. We then spoke about what fabrics are and where we could find them, in our homes, school and out in the wider world. Following this, we spoke about what eaving is and why it is important and how it is done. From this we learn some new vocabulary "Warp"," Weft" and "Loom" and had to use them throughout the lesson when we were discussing our work. We had to then cut out different strips of paper and thenbegin to weave them inbetween each other so they interleved and became strong.

Fabrics - Weaving
This lesson we looked at Applique. We learnt about what it is and where we have seen it. After this, we discussed different designs and what ould look good and certain fabrics, focusing on colours, design and depth of the design. We finished the lesson by actually design our own Applique ready for for us to make next week.

Module 6
Sculpture - What is it?
This lesson, we learnt what sculpture is, what different types of sculptures there are and where we might find them. Following these we were tasked to create our own sculpture using paper. We had to cut up 10 different shapes and then stick them onto a piece of card to make sure that they are standing up on their own.
