Fourth grade students will create using contour, expressive, descriptive, and directional lines. Students will use line to create geometric and organic shapes to communicate how they see the world around them.
Fourth grade students will investigate how to illustrate 3-dimensional objects and create contrast in an artwork using value. Students will also learn how to use color to communicate and share stories through art.
Contour Line Landscapes
Fourth grade students will experiment with creating depth and dimension in their artworks using a variety of methods. Students will transfer their knowledge to connect artmaking with traditions related to their cultures and the culture of Indonesia. Students will also explore using open and closed forms and how to compare and contrast the different types of forms.

Fourth grade students will explore visual and tactile texture in 2D and 3D art by creating their own inventions.
