Course overview - Term 3, Half term 1 and 2
During the first half term - half term 1, learners will be studying about why Asia is a diverse and dynamic continent. They will be becoming a geographical journalist for the sessions. To begin with, they will be creating country profiles and an educational report about a country in Asia. They will then be having a look at what life is like in India with a focus on the Indian slums and then will be having a look at what monsoons are, why they occur and how they impact India through the use of some GCSE style questions.
During the second study period - half term 2; learners will be completing a topic on Kid President. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively on real world issues while thinking about all the things a government has to do to run a country.
