Unit 2 - Creating Media - Web Page Creation
Unit 1 - Learners will commence their journey in C8 with a new Unit of work being introduced this year titled “Castle Estate Project”. After learning about what a business actually is and how project managers organise themselves to successfully manage a project, learners are then given the opportunity of applying this knowledge to a “Castle Estate Project”. Using the resources provided, learners have the opportunity of developing their business skills to plan, problem solve and present their proposals of an appropriate site for a business. Presentation skills will also be required to present their business project ideas to the class.
Unit 2 - Learners to be introduced to creating websites for a chosen purpose. Learners identify what makes a good web page and use this information to design and evaluate their own website using Google Sites. Throughout the process, learners pay specific attention to copyright and fair use of media, the aesthetics of the site, and navigation paths.

A seven week block of work that will conclude with a Summative Assessment, and an enrichment learning session revising Kodu that was taught in C7.
Unit 2 – Creating Media – Web Page Creation
Six week block of work – End of Unit Teacher Assessment analysing practical skills gained in website design - Week 6.
Guidance:
Learners will receive guidance in a variety of ways. These include marked assessments, reports, verbal feedback, written feedback in books, 1:1 interaction, Google Classroom and whole class feedback.
