Step 1: Create the Device Group
Click Device Group in the navigation menu
Click Add Device Group
Enter a name for your device group
Assign users to the group (users must be created beforehand — see the Users setup guide if needed)
Click Save
Step 2: Add Devices to the Group
If your devices are already activated:
After saving, click Add to Group and select the devices you want to include
If your devices are not yet activated:
Exit this screen and add devices later via Devices → Add Device, where you can assign the device group during that setup
If you need to come back to this later:
Go to Manage Device Groups
Find your group (it will show as Incomplete)
Click Finish Setup
Select the devices you want to add to the group
Click Save and Next
Step 3: Configure Reporting
Select which users should receive reports from this device group
For each user, set their report frequency (e.g. daily, monthly)
Click Save and Next
Step 4: Set Up the Escalation Policy
The escalation policy determines who gets alerted when devices go out of compliance, and in what order.
Click Add to add your first escalation contact
Select the user
Choose their alert method (text, call, email)
Click Add New Escalation to add a second level
Set the wait time before escalating (e.g. 30 minutes with no acknowledgement)
Select the next user and their alert method
Repeat to add additional escalation levels as needed (e.g. escalate again after 1 hour)
Click Save and Next when your escalation chain is complete
Step 5: Finalize
Review your setup — devices, users, reporting, and escalation policy
Click Create
Your device group is now live with full reporting and escalation configured.
