Installing a Hexmodal Room Monitor

Step by Step Guide

1. Attach Antenna & Insert Probe

• Insert the USB-C probe into the port until you feel a click — the top of the probe should sit flush with the bottom of the device

• Screw the antenna onto the main device

2. Power On the Device

• Press and hold the far right button for 6 seconds until the LED blinks, then release

• The device has connected successfully when the LED flashes solid green (this can take up to 1–2 minutes)

3. Mount the Device

• Apply adhesive tape to the back of the device and secure it to the wall inside the room you want to monitor

4. Scan & Register the Device

• Scan the QR code on the device using your camera or QR scanner to launch the Hexmodal dashboard

• Log in with your username and password

• Select Building and add a description for Location

• Optionally place the device on a floor plan by tapping its location

• Tap Save & Submit

Step 5 — Check Activation

• In the dashboard, scroll down to the Compliance Status section

• Confirm the device shows measurements and communication status
