Power On the Device
Screw the antenna onto the main device
Press and hold the top left button for 5 seconds until the LED blinks, then release
The device has connected successfully when the LED blinks green for 2 seconds
Select Probe Location
Make sure the probe is tightly screwed onto the cable
Choose where you want to detect leaks and place the probe there
⚠️ Note: Any section of the probe that water touches will trigger an alert
Ensure the surface is clean and free of contaminants (debris, dirt, adhesives, water droplets, sharp objects, etc.)
Step 3 — Secure the Device
Select a wall near where you placed the probe
Mount the main device to the wall using double-sided tape or 2 screws
If you need more cable length, contact Hexmodal support (up to 30 feet supported)
Step 4 — Scan & Register the Device
Scan the QR code on the device using your camera or QR scanner to launch the Hexmodal dashboard
Log in with your username and password
Select Building and add a description for Location
Optionally place the device on a floor plan by tapping its location
Tap Save & Submit
Step 5 — Check Connection
In the dashboard, scroll down to the Compliance Status tab
If the device doesn't automatically connect, splash water onto the probe to trigger an alert
If it still doesn't connect, contact Hexmodal support
