Installing a Hexmodal Room Access Monitor

Step by Step Guide

1. Unbox and Identify Components

   • HEX-D main device

   • Magnet (smaller piece)

2. Power on device

   • Slide backplate off of main device and insert 2 AAA batteries. 

   • Reattach the backplate back onto the main device.

3. Mount Device

   • Select and mark mounting location near top of door. (Note: Imprinted arrows on main device and magnet must point toward each other.)

   • Secure device to the marked mounting location with double-sided tape.

4. Mount Magnet

   • Select and mark magnet mounting location on door. When door is closed, power module and magnet should be less than 1/4" apart.

   • Place double-sided tape onto magnet backplate, then mount magnet to the marked location.

5. Final Checks

   • Ensure the setup is secure and functional.
