The 6 Stones Black & Blue Showdown is a community-wide event that builds on the friendly rivalry between Trinity High School and L.D. Bell High School to raise awareness and gather resources to support families in need within the HEB community. The goal of this event is to not only unite the community around a common cause but also to create meaningful opportunities for students to lead, serve, and make a lasting impact.
2025 GOAL
Last year, the students, faculty, and community of HEBISD collected over 52,000 food items in the Black and Blue Showdown. The goal for 2025 is to surpass 62,000 food items in the Showdown.
MONETARY DONATIONS
Prefer to make a monetary donation? You can use the link below to donate directly to 6 Stones. To give, click the link, enter your information, select Black and Blue Food Drive from the drop-down menu, and include Bedford JH name in the comments section and the homeroom name so that the right class can get credit.
Meet NJHS in the courtyard to purchase tattoos to cover your favorite teacher! Since this is a fundraiser for 6Stones, only cash will be accepted. Tattoos will be available for purchase at $1, $5, $10, and $20 price points. During sales, the list of teachers available for tattooing will be listed. Teachers who have tats purchased in their name will wear them at the October 24 pep rally. Which teacher will YOU choose? Remember cash donations this week COUNT DOUBLE for our campus total!
Mrs. Honstein would like to recognize Abigail Halliday for her "great class participation." Abbey is one of the hardest working students I have known! She works hard in class and outside of class. She asks me questions that furthers her learning, completes her work with care and a desire to understand the content, and puts forth a maximum amount of effort in everything she does. Abbey is also reliable, respectful, and kind. Way to be an awesome Bronco!
Has someone been a GEM? We would like to recognize our GEMs (someone who "Goes the Extra Mile). At Bedford JH, our amazing faculty and staff always work together to create the very best experience for our students and community. We want to hear about it and recognize them for helping make Bedford Best! Do you want to recognize a teacher, administrator, counselor, teacher, office staff, librarian or aides? Use the link below to let us know.

Congratulations to the 8th grade Lady Broncos Volleyball teams for defeating Haltom Middle School on 9/24 in convincing style.
It was a battle of the undefeated in yesterday's team 2 matchups. After, Bedford was the only undefeated still standing.
Team 2 won 25-18, 25-10. Leading the service pressure was Kamryn Turner, Finley Smith and Reyna Ochoa. Kinsley Young, Lily Park and Mallorie Hurtado, Addilyn Smith, Myal Taylor and Lillian Harrop led the intelligent attack while Purity Bittinger, Yvian Noguera, Klaire Pesce, Bethany Vankleef & Addyson Stuth played great defense and guided the team to victory.
Team 1 bounced back this week and executed in many areas that made them a tough team to beat winning 25-18, 25-10. Naomi Jackson & Ellie Gilchrist led the service pressure hitting spots and seams that were tough to return. Addyson Niutei led the setting attack, while Mila Corn, Naomi Jackson, Abby Zubrod & Claire Luna got the kills and smart swings needed to win. Serve Receive and ball control was consistent all game with great passes from Brooklyn Harris, Syriah Noriega, Naomi Jackson and Karsyn Caudle.
Team 2 is now 5-0. Team 1 is 4-1. Both teams continue to improve and impress.
Way to go Lady Broncos 8th grade volleyball!
