8th grade: Kamryn T, Samir A
7th grade: Ella R, Tyler C
These Broncos have shown hard work, active participation, a willingness to help others, and a positive attitude—all qualities of true leaders!
Zoya is a delight to teach. She often goes above and beyond the requirements for classroom assignments, and she participates fully in classroom activities. In addition, she often adds insightful commentary and ideas to class discussions, but is also willing to ask questions and take academic risks. She has a positive attitude in class each day and shows a genuine enthusiasm for learning across a variety of subjects.
Owen is an exceptional young man who consistently demonstrates hard work, dedication, and responsibility in everything he does. He approaches every task with a positive attitude and gives his best effort, setting a strong example for his peers. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he supports his classmates with kindness and respect. His integrity and commitment to excellence truly embody what it means to be a Bronco.
Kamryn is so helpful and is always looking for opportunities to add value to those around her. She is conscientious and works hard to achieve her goals. Kamryn is a shining example of what a BJH Bronco should be! She shows respect for herself and others and is a bright light in our school!
Samir is always smiling and he brings joy into the classroom every day! He likes to learn and offers valuable insight to our class discussions. Samir is an excellent Bronco who is kind, respectful, and hard-working.
Ella brings a bright attitude to class each and every day. She completes all assignments on time and with attention to detail! Thank you for bringing joy to our class, Ella!
Tyler is such a kind student to his peers and teachers! He consistently comes to class prepared and completes his work with enthusiasm, positivity, and a strong drive to do his best.

The 7th grade Team 1 and Team 2 tipped off their basketball season in impressive fashion with dominant wins over North Oaks. Both groups set the tone early by applying outstanding defensive pressure, forcing multiple turnovers that quickly turned into easy scoring opportunities. From start to finish, the energy, communication, and teamwork were evident on the court. Their relentless defense and unselfish play fueled strong offensive runs that secured convincing victories for both teams.
Great Job Girls!
The 8th grade Lady Broncos finally took the court to kick off their basketball season Thursday night at North Oaks. Coming off a 7th grade District title the 8th grade group is looking to defend that title and sure set a good tone in their first road trip of the year against the Stallions.
Team two had a slow start with only 10 points in the first quarter, but their defense was steller from the beginning and at halftime your Broncos had a commanding lead of 26 - 2, with ten different players contributing to the scoring effort. The defense continued to smother North Oaks' efforts offensively and allowed only 6 points the rest of the game. Two more Broncos chipped in on the scoreboard in the third quarter, highlighting our teamwork and hustle. With a final score of 46 - 8 we started off the year just like we wanted and will go into week two against Watauga with confidence.
Team 1's performance paralleled the previous game in almost every aspect. A slow first quarter offensively led us to an explosive second quarter as we shared the ball well and exposed every weakness in the Stallion's defense. We held them nearly scoreless the entire first half and walked into halftime with a 28 - 2 lead. The first quarter was the last time we'd allow North Oaks to find the basket and we wrapped up our first win of the season with a score of 56 - 2 and every player adding to the scoreboard and the defensive pressure.
Both teams head into a Week Two matchup against Watauga next week to continue the season.
The freshmen competing for the varsity gymnastics team delivered standout performances, helping secure a team victory at the Toys for Tots Invitational.
Ruth T. placed 7th on vault and beam, 5th on floor, and finished 8th all-around.
Joy L. earned 3rd on bars and floor, 2nd on beam, and claimed 3rd all-around.
Victoria J. took 5th on bars and 7th on floor.
Their strong efforts and consistency played a key role in the team’s success.
