Final Score: Bedford United 1 – Euless 4
Despite the final score, Bedford United showed grit, growth, and moments of brilliance in our most recent match.
The highlight of the game came from Mohammad J., who delivered an unforgettable goal for Bedford United. Picking up the ball on the far right side of the field, Mohammad showed speed, determination, and confidence as he ran the full length of the pitch, beating defenders along the way. His effort ended with a well-earned goal that brought energy and excitement to the team and sideline.
Throughout the match, Bedford United continued to compete, work hard defensively, and support one another. While the opponent capitalized on their chances, our players demonstrated resilience and never stopped pushing forward. The team communicated well, showed improvement in spacing, and continued to battle until the final whistle.
This game served as an important learning experience as we continue to build chemistry and confidence early in the season. The effort, attitude, and sportsmanship displayed by our players reflect the strong foundation we are developing.
We are proud of how the team responded, and we look forward to taking these lessons into our next match. Go Bedford United! 💙⚽️
The 7th grade Bedford Broncos faced off against the Hurst Raiders on Wednesday at Hurst.
The Bedford Broncos B team won a back and forth game with contributions from all over the court. Jace G was everywhere on the court. Cody E did a tremendous job getting every rebound possible and finished with 8 points! This was an all around effort defensively with Ben M, Christian M, and Joon K leading the way with multiple steals, charges taken, and blocks. The Broncos ended up winning 22-15.
The A team Broncos started out on fire jumping out to a 36-16 lead after 2 quarters of play. Throughout the game Hank D's. presence was felt defensively with 5 steals and 2 blocks. Offensively it was another all around performance from the Broncos. Lawson R led the way with 17 points, followed by Ben D's 16 points. Caleb B also contributed double digits with 10 points. The Broncos won with a final score of 63 - 42!
7th grade team 2 beat Hurst 30-2. Defense was the key to another big win. We have our last home game on Monday 1/26. Come out and support this 7th grade group!!
Team 1 grinded out another hard fought win! We started off the game really slow but turned up the defensive pressure in the 4th quarter and won 37-21. These girls continue to work and improve every day!! Let's finish this season strong.
Thursday January 22nd 8th grade Broncos faced the Hurst Raiders in a tough matchup. B team came away with a nice team win with Ivory S. and Ryan A. leading the scoring. Cortez F. was dominant on the boards getting over 10 rebounds. Great team defense matched with fast transition ball kept the Raiders on their toes.
The A team battled from the very first second in one of their closest matched games of the season. Hard nosed defense and efficient transitions had the Broncos up at half. The Raiders came out on fire the second half and the Broncos struggled to get ahead the rest of the game. They got within 6 points at one point in the 4th quarter but foul trouble and Raider made free throws extended the lead to a point where they couldn't come back. Stand out players were LJ S. for his energetic play on both sides of the court, Ryder D. for his timely rebounds, and Darius W. for playing quarterback at the point guard position.
The Lady Broncos secured another two wins last night at Hurst, taking down the Red Raiders in deciding fashion.
Team 2 came out on fire, putting up 26 points in the first half with 5 assists and only two team fouls, speaking to the girls' discipline and teamwork. The defense was also on point last night, holding our opponent scoreless in the first half and only allowing one bucket in the second half. As time wound down the final score was 36 - 2. The victory keeps Team 2 at the top of the leaderboard for District with an undefeated record of 6 - 0.
Team 1 picked up right where Team 2 left off offensively, putting up 28 points in the first half along with 4 assists, and holding Hurst to one score defensively. The shots finally started falling for us in the second half as we recorded three 3's and a handful of mid-range jumpers to tack on to our first half score. With a final score of 44 - 3, Team 1 also stays at the top of the leaderboard in District with an undefeated record of 6 - 0.
Both teams will take on a scrappy Richland Middle School team on the road next Thursday, January 29.

Last week, your Lady Broncos took on Haltom at Bedford at the halfway point for the season.
Team 2 had a fight on their hands most of the game, trying to ward off a scrappy Tigers squad. By halftime we had a good lead of 14 - 4. Our defense remained solid with several takeaways and some key stops that kept Haltom off the scoreboard when we needed it the most. On the offensive side, we created opportunities for ourselves, made great passes, kept the pressure on getting to the rim, and executed when we needed it to get the win, 30 - 10. This win moves Team 2 to 5 - 0 in District play, keeping us at the top of the leaderboard!
Team 1 also had a very physical game to close out the night for Week 5. Haltom put a ton of pressure on us defensively and really pushed us to take care of the ball. Our offense wasn't producing like games before but we were still finding teammates and putting up scores little by little, walking into half time with a 15 - 9 lead. Our defense held up in clutch moments and we finally found more of a rhythm on offense to hold on to our lead, closing out the win with a score of 32 - 18. This win moved us to 5 -0, keeping us tied for first in the regular season District standings.

Two weeks ago, the B team had a thrilling win against our rival, the Central Spartans. Defense was the star of the show, with your Broncos recording 13 steals. It was a fight most of the game and we had a bit of a slow start, ending the first quarter down 7 - 6, but going into halftime with a 16 - 11 lead. Our girls never quit pushing and fighting through contact and pulled away with the victory 34 - 29.
