The surprising success of the Jets and the Giants has shocked the NFL world. The Giants are pounding teams with their running game and the Jets have had an amazing passing game. Now the question is, can these teams continue?
The Giants have a 6-1 record. Going against some easy teams and most recently hard teams. The next few weeks for the Giants are against more relaxed, easy teams. Going into the season the Giants had shallow expectations. Now, they have a much higher bar. Saquon Barkley has been amazing this year. Last year dealing with a lot of injuries, so he didn’t play that much but this year he’s been very hard to stop. They've been giving him that ball a lot and he’s been performing very well. Giants fans have to be wondering if they can keep winning at this pace. Local Giants fan, Francis Cardone said, “They’re going to cool off eventually. Saquon Barkley needs to lead them uphill.” Can Saquon Barkley lead the Giants to their first division win in 11 years?
The Jets have a 5-2 record. So far, they have had a harder schedule than the Giants. In the next few weeks, the Jets have an uphill climb playing on the road against very good teams. The Jets have been one of the worst teams in the league for the last few years. This year they were supposed to be the worst team in the league. They have been the most surprising team the whole year. Coming off of his injury, Zach Wilson has been a very good quarterback for the Jets. Wilson has done a very good job with the ball in his hands this year, running the ball well and passing the ball amazingly. Local Jets fan Daniel Corbisiero said, “With the Bills’ hard schedule, yes, I think they can win the division. I don’t think they can make the AFC championship game. I think they can make the second round.” Can Zach Wilson lead the Jets to their first playoff appearance in 12 years?
