Explore Middle School has been around for 24 years educating tweens and teens and giving them the second home they didn't know they needed. This year 57 students from across Hudson County have joined Explore Middle School’s learning community. We’ve interviewed a few students to see how they feel about their wonderful school.
Four students were asked this question for their thoughts on Explore roughly half way through their sixth grade year. Their answers ranged from sweet to funny. A common topic or answer was the food, which as you know is one of the best things about Explore. Sixth grader Olivia Arroyo said, “It's good most of the people are nice and the food is not trash. I also like how they have a lot of after-school activities. The school environment is great because they have a playground. The boys are kind of nice when they are not playing sports. I like how it's a nice learning experience and I like all the amenities it has like the gym and the playground. I also like how the teachers are up to date with the trends even though they get it wrong. It's pretty funny.”
Fellow sixth graders Declan Rowley and Quentin Huet agreed that the teachers are kind of funny. They said,
“The teachers and environment are amazing. Getting character coins is also really cool. We are allowed to have a little freedom while still learning.”
“It's a very diverse school with many fun activities and some of these activities include being able to play with all grades and going on many field trips,” said 6th grader Nico Sherman. “We also have a lot of freedom.”
Overall, all the new 6th grade students are really enjoying their experience at Explore Middle School. Students love the teachers, students, food, building, and environment.
