Hey Hwa Chong!
A very warm welcome back to school and to the C1s, welcome to the Hwa Chong family!
To our new C1s, 2026 marks the beginning of a new chapter of your life. As you step into this new school environment and meet new people, you might be feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. But rest assured, that over the course of Orientation and your journey in Hwa Chong, you will begin to find your footing and discover your community. It will not be long before Hwa Chong becomes your home away from home!
In this exciting year ahead, you can look forward to our flagship events planned by students, for students. These include the Peak-Orientation Party (POP), Teachers’ Day and Mid-Autumn Festival just to name a few! Beyond the events, you will also be part of one of the 4 Faculties; Apollo, Ares, Artemis and Athena. Together, the 4 Faculties act as an additional pillar of support, further strengthening our sense of belonging and connection to the school, through what is more affectionately known as 4Facs1Hwach. You will also pick up SODACHE, an abbreviation for Song, Dance and Cheers. These traditions are core elements of our school culture, passed down by generations of seniors, and continue to live on today as a unifying force.
To the C2s, as you step into your final year in Hwa Chong, take this time to cherish your friends and the memories that have shaped your journey thus far. The months ahead will be packed with preparations for your A-Levels. While this journey may be intense, remember that you do not walk this path alone. Lean on your friends, teachers, and family for support, and continue to find joy and meaning in both the little moments and the big milestones together.
As we embark on the year ahead, may we continue to nurture a community of respect and care for one another. May we continue to live with passion and lead with compassion! Wishing you every success in the year ahead!

欢迎回到学校，迎接新的一年！也向所有高一的新生致以最热烈的欢迎，欢迎加入华中的大家庭！
对高一新生来说，2026 年将是你们人生中一个崭新篇章的开始。踏入全新的校园环境，认识新的朋友，你们或许会感到兴奋夹杂着些许紧张。但请放心，在迎新活动以及你们未来的华中旅程中，你们会逐渐找到自己的步伐，找到属于自己的光明道路。相信在不久的将来，华中将会成为你们的第二个家！
在接下来的两年左右，你们将在华中体验多姿多彩的高中生涯，包括学生理事会所举办的一系列大型活动——迎新后的舞会、教师节、中秋节等！除此之外，你们也将加入我校的四个学院之一：Apollo、Ares、Artemis 和 Athena，以“4Facs1Hwach”的精神，进一步增强归属感与凝聚力。此外，你们也将学习 SODACHE，也就是歌曲（SONG)、舞蹈（DANCE）与啦啦队口号（CHEER）。这些传统根深蒂固，深植校园文化，由一届又一届的学长姐传承下来，至今仍是凝聚全校的重要力量。
对高二的同学们而言，我们即将踏入在华中的最后一年。让我们好好珍惜身边的朋友，以及一路以来共同创造的珍贵回忆。在未来几个月，我们将迎来紧凑的备考时光。虽然这段旅程或许会辛苦，但请记得，无论前路如何，朋友、老师与家人都将一路相伴，不断为我们加油打气，并在生活的大小瞬间中持续创造意义与喜悦。
在新的一年里，愿我们继续秉承华中的精神，以尊重与关怀凝聚彼此，共同营造团结、进取、温暖的华中大家庭。愿我们“以理服人，以情动人”，在“饮水思源、自强不息”的校训指引下勇敢向前！祝愿大家在新的一年里学业进步、身心充实、万事顺遂！
