Hwa Chong Diploma

The Hwa Chong Diploma is a unique certification of our Integrated Programme and runs parallel to GCE ‘A’ Level certification which only reflects academic achievement.

The Hwa Chong Diploma is recognition of the Hwa Chong brand of Holistic Education. 

The school adopts a 2-year certification that accurately reflects students’ holistic development and achievement, not only in academic learning but also achievements in pursuits of interests and passion, leadership and service. 

A criterion-based approach is used in the assessment of student involvement and development in holistic programmes. 

3 categories of diploma are issued:

• Diploma

• Diploma with Merit 

• Diploma with Distinction

The Hwa Chong Diploma is awarded based on:

• Excellent Conduct Grade – students are exemplary in conduct and embody school values

• Service to Community – students are compassionate and empathetic to people around them. Required to complete a stipulated number of hours of CIP/Service Learning.

• Interest & Passion - either Scholastic Achievements, CCA Achievements or Leadership and Service.

• Academic Achievement – University  Admission Score of the student’s JC2 Preliminary Examination results.
