Hwa Chong Diploma

The Hwa Chong Diploma is emblematic of the Hwa Chong brand of Holistic Education delivered via our Integrated Programme. A unique certification, the Diploma together with the GCE ‘A’ Level certification, capture the all-round accomplishments of the Hwa Chong student.

The school adopts a criterion-based approach that accurately reflects students’ achievements in academic learning, development of their interests and leadership and service contributions. Certification is conducted over two years.

Three categories of Diploma are issued:

• Diploma

• Diploma with Merit 

• Diploma with Distinction

The Hwa Chong Diploma is awarded based on:

• Conduct Grade – students are exemplary in conduct and embody school values

• Service to Community – students are compassionate and empathetic to people around them. Required to complete a stipulated number of hours of CIP/Service Learning.

• Interest & Passion – students have qualifying Scholastic Achievements, CCA Achievements or Leadership and Service.

• Academic Achievement – students have the required University  Admission Score. For the purpose of Diploma awarding, this will be based on their Preliminary Examination results.
